Maria Capdevila

Maria hails from the outskirts of Barcelona, specifically from a town called Tiana. Having completed her Veterinary Medicine degree in 2019, she is currently on the brink of graduating with a degree in Pharmacy as well.

Her life has been deeply intertwined with equestrian pursuits, spending years horse-riding and competing in endurance races across various countries, including the UAE and Qatar. However, several years ago, Maria felt the urge for change and shifted her focus to rock climbing, skiing, mountaineering, and eventually, cycling, which brought about a transformative shift in her life.

This year, Maria is representing the Café du Cycliste gravel Team in the Klassmark league, the Catalan gravel league, and is also gearing up for the inaugural 252km Gravel del Fuego race in Chile, as well as The Rift, hosted by Lauf.

Renowned as a gravel-centric climber, Maria thrives on challenging terrains, particularly relishing steep ascents.
